\\*Brothers of Christ*//

Today, I did some thinking... So many things have been happening in my life... some good, some bad... but no matter what happens, for so many years, friends have been by my side, cheering me on and rooting for me... Supporting and encouraging me all these years... We quarrel, we fight but in the end, our friendship is so strong that it overcame all boundaries... because love does not just occur in BGR, it occurs in friendship as well... and there are occasions whereby the love in friends can be stronger than BGR...

I have always had friends but lasting ones? I don't think I have any till now... Friends in primary school don't really contact each other anymore... Secondary school is said to have the strongest bond but well, we also don't contact anymore... Poly, well everyone is busy gaming, working and no one really understands how I feel...In these 3 chapters of school life, I have a lot of friends... Great friends I might add... but not to the extend whereby they really encourage me or really understand me and love me for who I really am... In this cruel society, everyone is wearing a mask so that they can get accepted... Everyone wants to be in the "popular" group but is it really worth becoming someone you are not?
Up till now, there is only a group of people I can really trust which are from my school...

Polytechnic --> Aw Yew Joe, Derek, Benjamin, HanMing, Jingru, YongYi

The rest, yes we have fun outside but friendship is more than just having fun together...My life was really bitter because sometimes I really dunno who I can confide in... Until the day Vincent brought me to City Harvest Church... It was the day that really changed my life... As the days go by, I found people I could really share my burdens with... People who accepted me for who I am and people who constantly encourage me... People who support me with no strings attached... It is there where I had my first group of close brothers...

Vincent, Wenglok, ZhengYang, Lester...

The 4 of them are my pillars... They constantly help me up whenever im down... I know that I can trust in them and we know that whatever happens, we can confide each other... We have no secrets among each other and they are really the closest people I have... The love I have for them is something that nothing can destroy...
Soon, came in a new batch of friends...

HanYong, Ivan, Aswin, Shawn Kun, Darwin...

These 5 brothers, although the time spent with them is short, but the love I have for them is strong... Each one of them possess different charisma in them...and in short, they are really fun people... haha... They never fail to cheer me up and whenever im down, they would come and talk to me to see how I am... I don really know them that well but they went the extra mile to know how I was feeling... It is through them that I found agape love...

In Choir! I have like a good buddy - Brynner Know him from auditioning.. He is really cool and though we only meet during serving and practice, I feel really comfortable talking to him and he has really made serving with God much more fun.. Through him, I know alot more members in choir and I really thank God that I was in the same auditioning group as him.. PS: He has a great voice!

Then I have my leader, Joseph... He is the one that I can really confide because his wisdom has always led me to make a good decision in my life... For as long as I remember, his advice has never once let me down... Though there are times whereby I don really agree with him, I still heeded his advice because I know that he would never say anything to harm me on purpose... His encouragement and praises have always brought me to have a sense of achievement and I can never stop thanking him for guiding me through so many obstacles...

And lastly, my best friend Jesus... Even when I was still a free thinker, Jesus spoke to me and encouraged me... It is just that I did not listen and my heart was cold... I always thought it was my own imagination... Even though I was not a Christian in the past, God showered me with His love and affection... Guiding me through my daily life, protecting me... When I became a Christian, His love was so tangible... Flowing in His presence, my life changed so much... I became a positive person... My attitude changed and my character changed as well...Willing to take up challenges and willing to change for the better... I soon saw a vision... a goal I could work towards... He brought upon a meaning in my life... I began to do things with a greater heart...doing things for a greater cause... His songs, His love, His guidance, His encouragement and His words...all impacted my life so greatly... Even when I left Him, He still showered me with the same amount of love... Never once giving up on me, never once letting go because He cares for me... No one in this world can ever compare to the love He has showered upon my life... Because God is faithful...

Till today, I know that God still loves me and it is because of Him that now I have brothers with me... Brothers who will stand by me through thick and thin... Without him, I would not be who I am today... Without him, life would never be the same again...

Really wanna thank God for the love He has showered upon my life... Thank You Jesus =)

\\*Camp Phenomena!*//

Woohoo! Just reached home from camp on wed noon.. Was so tired that I slept for soooooo long.. Haha... Anyway, here's what happened

1st Day
We played some really great games.. Too many and I forgot the game names.. Haha.. But they were so cool.. Really bonded the whole team together... We then had some cool workshops on how to behave in a cell group, how to praise and worship, how to share testimonial, how to act in drama and how to preach... Lester preached on that day and I felt it was super great! Great Job Lester! After that, it came to the night time.. We had Praise and Worship and soon was the preaching of the word.. After that was what everyone was awaiting.. THE LAYING OF HANDS! I feel under the presence of God 3 times! It was really great!

2nd Day
Woke up at 7:30am and went down to do some morning exercises.. Soon we went to prepare our "lollipop" for "The Showdown"! After that we headed down for another session of preaching.. It was again great and made me learnt so much... We then had our mock cell groups and I felt that the people led so well.. The flow was great and it really felt like I was attending cell group itself.. Great job guys! We then had some games and the most disgusting one was having so move under the tables with Vinegar and chilli etc.. It was so gross but at the same time, it was so fun.. Haha...

Finally, "The Showdown"! Water bomb! Haha.. It was the highlight of everyone's day 2... We had some political discussions on who to attack first.. and after the 1st wave was done, everyone started attacking the leaders! Woohooo! Joseph, went to take the hose and spray all of us... Haha..

After dinner, we had the finale and I felt that my team did the best! Woohooo! Soon, it was preaching by bro Edmund again.. Though it was short, it was powerful..

This whole camp has brought me up yet to another level... The friends I've made were all so great... This camp really was Phenomena and it taught me how to step out of my comfort zone.. Really wanna thank the leaders for such a great camp.. This camp is my first ET zone camp and it brought me so many wonderful memories.. I believe the future camps would be better!

\\*Narnia!*//

Wow.. Today, Disney Channel was showing an old movie "Narnia, The Waredrobe, The Lion and The Witch"... At first, I found this show to be kind of boring but till this part, it really showed me a different side of the story..

In the story, there is a part where Asland (the Lion) exchanged himself to save Edmund (Son of Adam-Chosen one) from the white witch.. Asland's fur was then shed and finally, killed.. It reminded me on how Jesus sacrificed Himself to die naked on the cross to save us all from sin.. This unconditional love that showed the whole how much He cared for us even though time and again we still sin against God... Jesus did not just die for the Christians but He died for EVERYONE!...

At the end of the story, Asland was resurrected and he defeated the white witch.. It is just like Jesus.. He died and resurrected on the third day and is now seated at the right hand of the Father..

This show really reminded me how much Jesus has done for us... Whether we know it or not.. And it also brought back the hope in me.. Knowing that, no matter what troubles that killed me in the past, I know I can be resurrected to defeat that trouble because all things are possible through Christ who strengthens me.. and like the chosen children, I too am able to defeat the "white witches" in my life...

Praise the Lord for such a wonderful revelation =)
